Salary: $68,000 - $95,000 per year

The Senior Property Accountant will report directly to the VP and will have significant interaction with various departments within the company. This role is perfect for a highly motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take their career to the next level.
Why join us? Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
- Facilitate budgeting and forecasting processes for the portfolio, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Reconcile bank accounts, post journal entries, and prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; CAM reconciliations.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audit requests, and aid in the research and analysis of audit issues raised.
Job Details Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting.
- Proficiency in Yardi or a similar property management/accounting software is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial personnel.
- Self-motivated, with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
