Nice to Have Skills: Detailed Job Description: We're seeking a hands-on AWS Solution Architect to lead the technical strategy, architecture, and delivery planning for a large-scale data modernization initiative involving EMR, S3, Iceberg, MWAA, and Athena This role requires client interaction, solution design, and hands-on oversight of the engineering teams both onsite and offshore. Key Responsibilities:

• Own architecture design for AWS EMR, S3 (Iceberg), MWAA, and Athena-based Data Lake platform.
• Guide data migration from Cloudera (HDFS, HiveQL, PySpark) to AWS S3 + Iceberg.
• Define EMR cluster sizing, cost optimization strategies, and use of spot/reserved instances.
• Assist with setup for Athena queries on Iceberg and downstream reporting integration.
• Lead design decisions on schema evolution, partitioning, and time travel in Iceberg.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders and Infosys PM to manage scope and deliverables.

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in cloud and big data architecture.
• Expertise in AWS EMR, S3, Iceberg, Redshift, Athena, Glue, and MWAA.
• Strong understanding of Spark internals, PySpark, HiveQL, and HDFS architecture.
• Experience working on large-scale data lake migrations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
